A British manufacturer of cosmetics, skin care products, and fragrances is The Body Shop International Limited, doing business as The Body Shop. Anita Roddick founded the business, which today sells a variety of 1,000 goods in around 3,000 stores across more than 65 countries, both company-owned and franchised.The business, which was formerly established in Brighton, is now headquartered in London Bridge and Littlehampton, West Sussex, and is owned by Natura, a Brazilian cosmetics firm that is a part of the Natura & Co group. Between 2006 and 2017, L'Oréal, a French cosmetics firm, owned the business. Brazilian Natura & Co. purchased the business from L'Oréal in September 2017 for £880 million.
